Rules of Play
Tournament Guidelines
Tournament Format
Teams of 2 (any gender). Single round-robin eliminations — top 4 advance to semis, then finals and battle for 3rd.
Game Format
15-min time-capped elimination games, up to 11 points (win by 2), side-out scoring. 1 timeout per team (max 1 min). No time cap in semis/finals.
Pre-Game
3-min warm-up before each game. Rock-paper-scissors to choose serve or court. Teams designate a base player who wears the rubber ball.
Referees
Assigned per game for foot faults only. Line calls are the players' responsibility. Referee announces the score before every serve.
General
Non DUPR-rated event. Organizers are not liable for lost or damaged items. Follow all venue rules at all times.
No Sandbagging
Players must compete honestly within their category. Staff may reassign a team to a higher category or remove them from the tournament if sandbagging is observed.

Complete Tournament Guidelines

1. Tournament Format

  • Teams of 2 — mixed / open doubles (any gender combination)
  • Single round-robin elimination format
  • Top 4 teams advance to the semifinals
  • Semifinal winners play in the Finals
  • Semifinal losers battle for 3rd place

2. Game Format

  • Elimination games: 15-minute time cap
  • Win by reaching 11 points (must win by 2)
  • Side-out scoring system
  • 1 timeout per team per game (max 1 minute)
  • No time cap in Semifinals and Finals
  • If time expires mid-rally, finish the point before ending

3. Pre-Game

  • 3-minute warm-up before each game
  • Rock-paper-scissors determines serve or court choice
  • Each team designates one base player
  • Base player wears the rubber ball / identifier

4. Referees

  • One referee assigned per game
  • Referee calls foot faults only
  • Line calls are the sole responsibility of players
  • Referee announces the score before every serve
  • Referee's decision is final

5. General Rules

  • Non DUPR-rated event
  • Sportsmanship and respect are expected at all times
  • Please be mindful of personal belongings at all times
  • Organizers are not liable for lost or damaged items
  • Follow all venue rules and guidelines
  • No sandbagging. Players must compete honestly within their registered category. Tournament staff reserve the right to reassign a team to a higher category or remove them from the tournament if sandbagging is suspected or observed.

Who can join the Migs Cup?
The tournament is open to all skill levels. It is a mixed / open doubles format — teams of 2 of any gender combination are welcome to join.
How much is the registration fee?
Registration is free! Just fill out the form and you're in. Your slot is confirmed once your registration is reviewed by our team.
Where is the venue?
DuOrbit Pickleball Court, Hermosa, Bataan. Exact address and directions will be sent via email upon registration confirmation.
What should I bring?
Your paddle and athletic wear. Food and beverages will be provided throughout the day. Please be mindful of your personal belongings — the organizers are not liable for lost or damaged items.
Is the event DUPR-rated?
No. The Migs Cup is a non DUPR-rated event. It's all about fun, competition, and celebrating a milestone together.
What if I need to cancel?
Please reach out via our social media pages as soon as possible. Cancellation and refund policies will be communicated closer to the event date.
Will there be prizes beyond the trophy?
Yes! Expect raffle prizes, giveaways, and surprises throughout the day. A portion of proceeds will also go to a chosen beneficiary.
